Testimonials
"First of all, the Career Half-Day event was hands down the best career workshop I have ever attended. The presenter from the network-building workshop emphasized the importance of networking and shared invaluable practical tips in networking - such as how to initiate the first contact and continue to the second and third. These were never given by any other networking sessions I had attended. The second part of the event, networking with mentors, was also great because I was able to meet people in various fields and positions. I was able to ask many questions that help me widen my career ambitions. After the workshop, I was able to apply these skills to do my own networking, which helped me land the position that I am in now. I would strongly advise the fellow students to attend and benefit from it!"

"During the career day I learned a lot about various niches and possibilities within a company. It also helped me to better understand the dynamic of an industry job and what additional skills may be valuable to make the transition form academia to industry easier."
Vita Sonjak, Ph.D Candidate
"The Career Half-Day Event 2016, was a unique initiative which greatly helped graduate students like me to learn about various career options outside academia. Especially, the networking roundtable sessions were extremely useful as I got an excellent opportunity to professionally engage and network with a number of RI-MUHC alumni working for industry, government, business, and academia. I would like to congratulate and thank D-CAT for this initiative and am already looking forward to the 2017 Career Half-Day Event."
